Puente de la MujerPosted by Bernarrrd (Toronto, Canada) on 15 May 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. The Puente de la Mujer, which means "Woman's Bridge" in Spanish, is a pedestrian bridge situated in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava. It is a cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge that can rotate 90 degrees in order to allow water traffic to pass. When this happens, the far end of the bridge comes to a resting point on a stabilizing pylon.
